Teeth Whitening

Though there are many over-the-counter products available, dentist-supervised treatments remain the safest and fastest procedure to eliminate tooth discolouration. Dental Implant

In recent years dental implants have become the preferred option for the cosmetic and restorative replacement of missing teeth. Dr Alex Bratic has extensive experience in the implant process and has been successfully placing crowns on implants for over twenty years.

The Dental Implant process is a two phase process. The first phase involves a biocompatible titanium fixture placed in the jaw bone. This procedure is complex and Dr Bratic works in close collaboration with an implant specialist who performs this surgical phase. The implant requires time to heal and integrate which usually takes a period of two to three months. After this time, the implant specialist reviews stability and integration of the implant before referring back to Dr Bratic for the second phase of treatment.

Phase two or the restorative phase, Dr Bratic completes the process by securing a dental crown to the implant. The crown is made using a local laboratory and designed by your Beenleigh dentist to match the shape, size and shade of your natural teeth

Dental Veneers

Veneers are customised, thin shells of tooth-like material applied over the surface of the tooth to conceal rough edges, worn enamel, uneven tooth alignment and staining including gaps, chips or cracks. Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain; thus, they perfectly match the colour of your teeth. Though they are usually 0.5mm thick, veneers are very strong and durable and they are resistant to staining.

Replacement of stained, discoloured or unsightly fillings

If you want to replace your stained or unattractive dental fillings, you and your dentist can decide what replacement options would suit you best. Today, there are various dental filling materials and procedures available that are fast and painless for replacing stained, unsightly or defective fillings. Some of these may include composite fillings, inlays/onlays, crowns and veneers.

Crowns/Bridges

Dental crowns restore the strength, functionality and aesthetics of damaged teeth. To protect the weakened and damage tooth structure underneath, a crown replaces the outside layer of the tooth. They are also used for cosmetic rejuvenations. There are a number of different types of Crowns available and Alex will talk to you about your needs and help you to choose a solution that’s just right for you.

A missing tooth or teeth can be replaced with a bridge. A bridge is a permanent fixture, consisting of one or more artificial teeth, secured to crowns that are placed on the teeth on either side of the space. The bridge, fill’s the gap, thereby restoring both appearance and functionality.
